Used to run other operating systems through virtual machines within devices, Fusion software (for MacOS) is about to receive a new major update. Without a specific launch date, the VMware intends to announce the update by the end of October.
The main novelty of Fusion 12 will be support for macOS Big Sur - the next macOS operating system - from Apple APIs to run its virtual machines and containers. Despite this, the software will continue to run with kernel extensions, but only on macOS Catalina.

The other good news is that VMware will change its software licensing structure. With this, Fusion 12 will offer free individual use and commercial contracts starting at US $ 149 (R $ 837, in direct conversion) - the value can decrease to US $ 89 (or R $ 500), if the user is using the version 10 or 11 of the tool.

In addition, the tool will feature security enhancements for sandbox rendering engines and improvements in accessibility controls.

For users who choose the version premium of the software, the Fusion 12 Pro license can be purchased for US $ 200 (R $ 1.124). The high price is justified: the Pro version will bring advanced features and allow the software to run on up to three devices (including computers Windows or Linux through VMware Workstation Pro). Prices for educational uses will also be made available.
